Harks back to a simpler time in life when children used to use their imagination to discover the world! Vintage French Children's Picture Building Blocks, Wooden Cubes in Box, Nursery Decor I have estimated this lovely box of children's picture blocks at around the early to mid 20th C as the images are very agriculture and farmlike. There are 24 wooden cubes each with a paper image which make up the 6 different pictures. The blocks do display some signs of wear but all the pictures are complete. The hinged box is in very good condition with dovetailed joints and a small hook and nail clasp and the principle image of is on the lid. Inside there are two more sheets with other pictures included on the blocks . Lovely for your youngster to imagine life on the farm with animals and a farmer. Also, Olivier got a hold of a pen and starting writing his name on his wooden box in the corner as shown in the left hand corner of photo one, this little boy must be all grown up now!!!!
Unfortunately the pictures are torn at the edges and faded but still legible.
